Seni Performance 2008
Shifu Shi Yan Xiu demonstrates Di Tang Quan 地躺拳 (Ground Tumbling Fist) at Seni 2008.
Ditang Quan originated in the time of the Song Dynasty (960-1279) in Shandong Province in northern China. It evolved from the techniques of Zui Quan (Drunken Fist), Houquan (Monkey Fist) and other similar styles that use speed and deception to defeat an attacker. -

Shifu Shi Yan Xiu demonstrates She Quan 蛇拳 (Snake Fist) in The Wheel of Life.

5 Spears Qi Gong
Shifu Yan Xiu demonstrates 5 Spears Qi Gong. With the help of his Shaolin Kung Fu brothers, Shifu is suspended in mid air by 5 Spears.

Ba Duan Jin - Qi Gong
Shifu Yan Xiu demonstrates Ba Duan Jin 八段锦气功 with his Shaolin Kung Fu Brothers.
Shaolin Ba Duan Jin as a whole is broken down in to eight separate exercises, each focusing on a different physical area and qi meridian. Ba Duan Jin traditionally contains both a standing and seated set of eight postures each. In the modern era, the standing version is by far the most widely practiced.

3 Section Staff
Shifu Shi Yan Xiu does a short demonstration of the San Jie Gun 三截棍 (3 Section Staff)
Shifu showcases the 3 Section Staff. The weapon consists of three wooden or metal poles connected by metal rings or rope. Designed for defence against spears and other long weapons. Similar to the nunchaku, the flail can be spun to deliver a devastating strike, or their articulation can be used to strike over or around a shield or other defensive block.

Shaolin Whip
Shifu Shi Yan Xiu uses the Mu Yang Bian 牧扬鞭 (Shaolin Whip)
Shifu demonstrates the Shaolin Whip in this quick display.The whip is 2.5 m long and made of leather. Snake-shaped, the whip progressively becomes finer towards the tip of the weapon.
